Hand-polishing on a lathe exposes operators to serious hazards — fingers, gloves, or clothing can easily become entangled in rotating parts. This lathe-mounted abrasive belt tool eliminates that risk by removing the operator’s hands from the danger zone. The unit mounts securely on ½” , ¾” , or 1″ tool posts, and a handwheel advances the belt in a controlled manner, preventing glazing while keeping fresh abrasive against the workpiece. Belt tension is maintained automatically with a gas shock, and precision bearings ensure smooth, reliable operation.
