ODIZ Inspection App — operated by Odiz Safety LLC ("ODIZ," "we," "us," or "our").
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the ODIZ Inspection App and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who the Service Is For
The Service is a business tool for workplace safety inspections. It is intended for use by employees and authorized representatives of the organizations that subscribe to it. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you register or are invited, we collect your email address, password (stored in encrypted form), and optionally your first name, last name, and display name. Each account is assigned a unique identifier.
Organization and facility information. To operate the Service, we store organization details (name, logo, member roles) and facility details you enter, including facility name, address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, country, phone number, email, and description.
Inspection and asset data. We collect the information you enter while performing inspections, including machine and equipment records (name, location, serial number, model, department, and scanned QR/barcode values), form responses, measurements, comments, and inspection results.
Photos and signatures. The app uses your device camera and photo library to capture inspection photos, machine/equipment photos, and handwritten signatures that you choose to add to a record.
Limited technical information. To help authenticate sessions and improve reliability, we record the app version, build number, and platform type (e.g., Android, iOS, Web) associated with sign-in events.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect GPS or precise location data.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or serve ads.
- We do not use third-party analytics or crash-tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect health data, biometric identifiers, or payment card information within the app.
- We do not collect device identifiers beyond the platform type described above.
4. How We Use Information
- To authenticate users and provide access to your organization's data.
- To create, store, and display inspection records, assets, and reports.
- To send email notifications, including alerts when an inspection fails and upcoming-inspection reminders.
- To generate inspection-related documents (such as a quote document) for authorized recipients.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
5. Email Notifications
When an inspection records a failure, the Service may send an email summarizing the failure to recipients configured by your organization's administrators, and to ODIZ sales/support recipients. These emails may include the machine or equipment details, the name and email of the person who completed the inspection, the organization and facility information, the failed items and related comments/measurements, associated photos, and (for certain alerts) a generated document attachment. Your organization controls which additional recipients receive these notifications.
6. How Information Is Stored and Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that host and process data on our behalf, and as required by law:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage, and server-side functions.
- Microsoft Azure — cloud storage for photos, signatures, and generated documents, and AI-assisted content generation for machine records.
- Resend — delivery of the notification and reminder emails described above.
These providers are authorized to process the data only to provide services to us. Data may be processed and stored on servers located in the United States or other countries.
7. Data on Your Device
On mobile and desktop, the app may temporarily cache photos, signatures, and form drafts locally (for example, before they are uploaded) and store non-sensitive app preferences. This local data is removed when it is no longer needed or when the app is uninstalled.
8. Data Retention
We retain account, organization, inspection, and media data for as long as your organization's account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, safety, and record-keeping obligations. When an account is deleted, associated login credentials and profile information are removed; inspection records created under that account may be retained by the organization for compliance purposes.
9. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Because the Service is provided to organizations, some requests may need to be directed to your organization administrator. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
10. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and row-level security in our database, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
